Description
Acemox has an additive effect combination of two antibiotics. Amoxycillin is a semisynthetic broad
spectrum Beta-lactum penicillin with a bactericidal action due to inhibition of cell wall synthesis
against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The spectrum of amoxycillin includes
Clostridium, Salmonella, E. coli, Campylobacter, Pasteurella, Corynebacterium, Haemophilus,
penicillinase-negative Staphylococcus and Streptococcus, spp. Colistin is an antibiotic from
the group of polymyxins with a bactericidal action due to interaction with lipopolysaccharide
(LPS) of the outer membrane against Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Haemophilus and
Salmonella.
